Lares Llama trek 4 days 3 nights

Lares Llama trek 4 days 3 nights

LLAMA TREK to LARES 4 days  3 nights

The beauty of the landscape and the use of lamas to transport our luggage makes this trek our most wanted trail.

Treks through this spectacular valley are rated moderate like the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, with two passes over 4000 metres, so walkers will need to acclimatise in the Cusco region for at least three days before starting the trek.

This remote and rarely visited region offers the trekker an insight into traditional Andean life; a timeless world where farmers plant their crops on the lands their ancestors tended and watch over herds of llamas and alpacas under the sacred snow covered peaks they worship as gods.

And to end the trek, we will be able to relax in southern Peru's best natural thermal pools!

Itinerary:

Day 1
Transport from Cusco to Urubamba by private transport. In Urubamba we will be met by our "Llameros" and wranglers who will load our equipment on the lama's. We will walk for approx. 4 to 6 hours before arriving on our first campsite near Sutoc.
