Well-known as the heart of the greatest empire ever seen in the Americas and a jewel of Spanish colonial architecture, the Inca capital of Cusco is also the gateway to the most unspoilt and biodiverse place on Earth; the Amazon rainforest, with more than 15,000 species of flowering plants and a dizzying variety of endemic fauna.

Day 1: Arrive Lima.
Day 2: Flight to Cusco. Afternoon relaxed orientation walk with your personal guide.
Day 3: Sacred Valley, (Pisaq market, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero).
Day 4: Machu Picchu. Afternoon return to Cusco.
Day 5: Amazon basin rainforest.
Day 6: Amazon basin rainforest.
Day 7: Amazon basin rainforest. Flight to Lima.
Day 8: Lima city tour. Airport transfer and international flight.

Itinerary

Day 1 arrival Lima

Arrival Lima. Pick up at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in your hotel

 

Day 2 Cusco - citytour

Flight Lima - Cusco. Transfer to hotel, morning free. In the afternoon a citytour. You will visit the Cathedral, Qorichancha (the temple of the sun) and the four nearby ruins Qénko, Puca Pucara and Sacsayhuaman.

Day 3 Sacred Valley

Visit of the Sacred Valley visit Chinchero Market, the ruins of Ollantaytambo and the colorful indigenous market of Pisac. An Exquisite Buffet lunch in a in a Restaurant in Urubamba. In the afternoon return to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco in your hotel.

Day 4 Macchu Picchu

Machu Picchu. Early in the morning transfer to the train-station for a  journey by first class Vista-Dome train to the famous Sanctuary. Arrival in Machupicchu Pueblo where a bus will bring you to the entrance of Machu Picchu Sanctuary. You will have a guided tour of Machu Picchu, visiting the different sections of the Sanctuary ruins.
In the afternoon return by train to Cusco and transfer to your hotel.

Day 5 Puerto Maldonado Rainforest

After Breakfast transfer to the airport for your 35 minute flight to Puerto Maldonado. Transfer by boat to the jungle lodge. Time to install in your private bungalow and to relax in your hammock. Lunch. In the afternoon your first encounter with jungle during a three hours walking tour. Return to your lodge and dinner. At night you'll leave for canoe ride in search for caimans and other noctural animals.

 

Day 6 Rainforest

An Early rise and walk to the close by Clay lick. Here we can spot different kinds of parrots and parakeets. Return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast we'll leave for a daytour visiting an oxbow lake and monkey island, with the opportunity of discovering the rich wildlife of the amazons. Return to the lodge, dinner and free evening to relax and enjoy the colorful sounds of the jungle. Overnight in your bungalow.

Day 7 return Lima / citytour

After breakfast return by boat to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport. Flight to Lima. In Lima reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
Overnight in your hotel.
 

Day 8 Lima City tour and international flight

Morning citytour and visit of the UNESCO world heritage centre of Lima. The City Tour offers the best combination of the different attractions in Lima and its three historical periods: pre-Hispanic, colonial and contemporary. During our guided tour we will travel along its millenary history. At the appropriate time transfer to the airport for the connection of your international flight.
