Attraction:
From Lima, the city of the Spanish viceroys, we fly to Cusco, the heart of the Inca empire. Megalithic Inca walls form the foundations of the mansions and baroque churches of the colonial period, and the hills beyond the city and the Sacred Valley are studded with the enigmatic ruins of ancient temples and palaces. From Cusco we journey by train to Machu Picchu, once the focus of a lost Inca province and now the most important archaeological site in the Americas.
Itinerary outline:
Day 1: Arrive Lima.
Day 2: Cusco free morning. Afternoon relaxed orientation walk with your personal guide.
Day 3: Sacred Valley, (Pisaq market, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero).
Day 4: Machu Picchu. Afternoon return to Cusco.
Day 5: Morning free. Afternoon city tour.
Day 6: Airport transfer, flight Cusco -Lima and international flight

Day 1 arrival Lima
Arrival Lima. Pick up at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Lima

Day 2 Cusco
Transfer to airport. Flight Lima/Cusco. Transfer to your hotel. Free morning to adapt to the altitude.
In the afternoon your guide will pick you up at your hotel, for a two to three hour walking tour to get to know some of the highlights of Cusco. We will visit San Blas, the artisans district, the main plaza and the Church of San Blas and a typical local local market.

Day 3 Sacred Valley of the Inca's
Day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Inca's. Visit the colorful indigenous market of Pisac. Buffet lunch in Urubamba. Afternoon visit the archeological site of Ollantaytambo. We overnight in the Sacred Valley from where we will board the train next morning.

Day 4 Machu Picchu
Early morning transfer to the train-station for a journey by first class Vista-Dome train to the famous Sanctuary. Arrival in Machupicchu Pueblo where a bus will bring you to the entrance of Machu Picchu Sanctuary. You will have a guided tour of Machu Picchu, visiting the different sections of the Sanctuary. In the afternoon return by train to Cusco and transfer to your hotel.

Day 5 Cusco citytour
Morning free. An excellent opportunity to buy souvenirs in the many artisans shops. In the afternoon citytour we start our visit with the Temple of the Sun Qoricancha and the main Cathedral. Then, we continue to visit four nearby ruins: Q'enqo, Pukapukara, Tambomachay and Saqsayhuaman.
Overnight in Cusco in your selected hotel.

Day 6 Flight Cusco - Lima. Optional excursion Lima
After your breakfast, transfer to the airport of Cusco. Flight Cusco - Lima. In Lima connection of your international flight.

Optional: visit of Lima's colonial center or visit of Lima museums, depending on your schedule.
