Day 1 Lima

Arrival in Lima our representative will transfer you to your hotel. Lodging Lima. No meals included.

 

Day 2 Lima City-tour

Morning free. Free time for lunch. Afternoon, enjoy traveling along Lima's millenary history in your city tour. The tour offers the best combination of the different attractions in Lima and its three historical periods: pre-Hispanic, colonial and contemporary. Lodging Lima. Breakfast included.

 

Day 3 Ica

Transfer to bus-station and morning bus ride to Ica (4 1/2 hours). Afternoon optional dune buggy ride and sand-boarding. Lodging in Ica. Breakfast Included.

 

Day 4 Balestas Islands

Morning transfer to Paracas for your excursion to Balestas Islands. In Peru people call the Balestas islands also “small Galapagos” because of it’s abundant wildlife. In about 45 minutes we arrive at the Islands; here we can observe the hundreds of sea lions and seals; they swim around our boats and lie on the small beaches of the islands. A large variety of seabirds are found here, flamingos, pelicans, boobies, cormorants and many others. After exploring the Ballestas islands we return to Pisco for lunch.
Afternoon excursion of Paracas National Reserve. Afternoon return to Ica. Lodging in Ica. Breakfast Included.

 

Day 5 Nazca

Private Transfer to Nazca for your optional flight over the Nazca Lines. Afternoon visit Chauchilla cemetery. Evening bus journey to Arequipa.
Lodging Hotel in Nazca for day use. Overnight on bus. Breakfast included.

 

Day 6 Arequipa

Arrival in Arequipa. Morning free. Afternoon city tour in private service. We will visit the Main Square, Yanahuara church and observatory, Arequipa´s most important churches, like San Francisco, the Compania de Jesus’ famous cloisters, colonial houses, and a special visit to the Santa Catalina Convent and Cloisters. After that, a journey through the district of San Lazaro, Selva Alegre, the Chilina look-out point, Paucarpata’s plaza and terraces, Sanbadia’s mill, the Founder’s Mansion, Tingo’s look-out point and Sachaca Plaza, and the Iron Bridge. Day 7 Colca Canyon

Transfer to Colca Canyon. Driving across Pampa Cañahuas at the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, habitat of herds of vicuñas and stopping at the Mirador de los Andes, the crater of Chucura, the Mirador de Chivay, where beautiful pre-columbian terraces still being cultivated by native Collaguas can be observed. Arrival at the town of Chivay transfer to hotel. Free time to enjoy the hot springs. Lodging Colca Canyon. Breakfast included.

 

Day 8 Colca Canyon

Morning departure to the "Condor's Cross" from where the great Andean bird, the Condor, may be spotted flying in circles above still farmed green pre-Hispanic terraces. On the way back to Chivay, visit to the Mirador of Chinina, where we will find the famous Hanging Tombs. Lodging Colca Canyon. Breakfast included.

 

Day 9 From Colca Canyon to Puno

Transfer to Puno arriving early afternoon. here you have free time. Lodging Puno. Breakfast Included.

Day 10 Lake Titikaka

Today we will leave for the port where a boat awaits you to visit one of the highest lakes in the world (3800 meters / 9000 feet). We will explore the floating island of Uros where you will see their typically dressed inhabitants. We continue the tour for the island of Taquile where the local people are experts in traditional weaving techniques. Return to Puno transfer to your hotel. Lodging in Puno, breakfast included.

 

Day 11 Journey to Cusco

Transfer to the bus station for your first class bus to Cusco.
This daylong bus ride takes you past snow-covered peaks, through high and wide Andean valleys where llamas graze on spiky grass. As you pass by villages with cobblestone streets and you'll see people making adobe bricks by hand. On our way to Cusco we will visit La Raya, the highest point between Cusco and Puno (14234 feet / 3800 meters), The litho-sculptures of Pukara, Raqchi, the temple of the God Wiracocha and Andahuaylillas. The church of Andahuaylillas is known as the "Sistine Chapel of America". It is known as one of the best- preserved examples of Andean religious art. Arrival in Cusco and transfer to hotel. Lodging Cusco. Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 12 City tour of Cusco

Morning free. In the afternoon we tour Cusco. You will visit the Cathedral, Qorichancha (the temple of the sun) and the four nearby ruins Qénko, Puca Pucara and Sacsayhuaman. Lodging in Cusco. Breakfast included.

 

Day 13 Sacred Valley of the Incas

Day excursion to the Sacred Valley. We visit the colorful indigenous market and archeological sight of Pisac and after buffet lunch we visit the archeological site of Ollantaytambo. At the end of your dropped of to your hotel. Lodging in the Sacred Valley. Breakfast and lunch included.

 

Day 14 Machupicchu Sanctuary

Morning transfer to train station in Ollantaytambo for your 1 1/2 hour Vistadome train ride to Machupicchu Town (Aguas Calientes). Enjoy your 3 hour guided tour with your personal guide of the Sanctuary. Lodging in the Machupicchu Town (Aguas Calientes). Breakfast included.

 

Day 15 Machupicchu-Cusco

This morning is open for you to decide what you wish to do. Afternoon Vistadome train return to Poroy, Cusco. Transfer to your hotel. Lodging Cusco. Breakfast included.

 

Day 16 Cusco to Amazon Rainforest

Transfer to airport for your flight Cusco to Puerto Maldonado. On arrival In Amazon transfer to your lodge by Boat. Free time. Evening night exploration of searching for caiman's crocodile at the river's edge.
Breakfast, boxed lunch and dinner included. Overnight at Jungle Lodge.

Day 17 Amazon Rainforest

Morning visit to the Sachavacayoc Oxbow Lake searching for the resident family of five giant river otters. After lunch visit a local farmer who cultivates many medicinal plants and other corps. Night walk to spot mammals.
Lodging Jungle Lodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

 

Day 18 Amazon Rainforest

Visit a parakeet clay lick and a peccary clay lick. Walk the 25-meter scaffolding canopy tower. Evening lecture about the Amazon.

Day 19 Amazon Lima

After breakfast return by boat to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport. Flight to Lima and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon free. Lodging in Lima. Breakfast included.

 

Day 20 International departure.

Morning free. Afternoon city tour of Lima. Evening transfer to the airport for connection with your international flight
