Trip Outline:

1. Day 1: Arrival Lima. Transfer to hotel. Overnight Lima
2. Day 2: First of three days in the Amazon Rainforest. Overnight Jungle Lodge.
3. Day 3: Second of three days in the Amazon Rainforest. Overnight Jungle Lodge.
4. Day 4: Third of three days in the Amazon Rainforest. Flight to Cusco. Overnight Cusco.
5. Day 5: Morning free. Afternoon Classic city tour. Overnight Cusco.
6. Day 6: Excursion to Sacred Valley of the Inca's. Late afternoon train to Machupicchu Town. (Aguas Calientes) Overnight Machupicchu Town
7. Day 7: Early Morning tour of Machu Picchu with private guide. Afternoon return to Cusco. Overnight Cusco
8. Day 8: Transfer to airport, Morning flight to Lima. afternoon Lima city tour. Evening international flight.

Day 1 arrival Lima

Arrival in Lima our representative will transfer you to your hotel. Lodging Lima. No meals included.

 

Day 2 Amazon Rainforest

Transfer to the airport for Flight to Puerto Maldonado. A 40 minute transfer to your Lodge along the Madre de Dios River in a typical Amazonian boat. Arrival at lodge free time to accommodate. Afternoon visit to the jungle were you can observe a large variety of tropical trees, medicinal plants and possibly insects, butterflies and other animals.
At sunset we go on a boat trip trying to spot the white caiman (caiman crocodilus). Lodging Amazon Lodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

 

Day 3 Amazon Rainforest

Early morning walk to the spectacular multicolored parrot clay- lick . Return to Lodge for breakfast. Mid morning boat ride to visit the Monkey Island then back on the boat traveling to Tambopata- Candamo National Reserve. A 5km trek through the dense vegetation of the tropical rainforest. You may spot giant trees, snakes, monkeys, birds and sometimes even the jaguar can be observed here. Arriving Sandoval Lake, observe the Giant River Otters. Black Caimans and Piranhas. Return to lodge by boat while the sun is setting. Lodging Jungle Lodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

 

Day 4 Amazon Rainforest

After breakfast return by boat to Puerto Maldonado and transfer to the airport. Flight to Cusco and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon free to explore the city. Lodging in Cusco. Breakfast included.

 

Day 5 Cusco

Morning free. In the afternoon we tour Cusco. You will visit the Cathedral, Qorichancha (the temple of the sun) and the four nearby ruins Qénko, Puca Pucara and Sacsayhuaman. Lodging in Cusco. Breakfast included.

 

Day 6 Sacred Valley

Day excursion to the Sacred Valley. We visit the colorful indigenous market of Pisac, archeological site of Pisac, a buffet lunch is served in Urubamba. Then visit the archeological site of Ollantaytambo. Late afternoon Vista-Dome train to Machupicchu Town (Aguas Calientes). Lodging in Machupicchu Town. Breakfast and lunch included.

Note: departures Sacred Valley shared tours on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Other days in private service at additional cost.

 

Day 7 Machupicchu

Early morning bus to the Sanctuary for your private guided tour of the Machupicchu. After your tour you have free time to explore this magnificent site yourself. In the afternoon we return by Vistadome train to Poroy were our representative awaits to transfer you to your hotel. Lodging in Cusco, breakfast included.

 

Day 8 Lima

Morning transfer to Cusco airport for your flight to Lima. Arrival in Lima. Leave luggage in airport storage. Transfer to city center for your guided Lima city tour. Evening return to the airport for your international flight. Breakfast included for connection of your international flight.
